The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass will host its annual Grand Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will mark the official start of the holiday season with live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The evening will open with a performance by the Keeneland Bugler, featuring The National Anthem, My Old Kentucky Home, and the traditional Call to the Post to welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus as they arrive by horse-drawn carriage. The Clauses will then light the center’s 32-foot Christmas tree.
Activities throughout the evening will include free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, visits with the Polo Ralph Lauren Teddy Bear, appearances by the Green One and Cindy Lou from Whoville, face painting, stilt-walking balloon-artist elves, and a LEGO interactive build-and-play zone. Scheduled performances will feature Wil Lovan, The Bluegrass Robotics Club, The Rockin’ Cowboys, and Dancensation. Complimentary Ghirardelli hot chocolate will be provided.
